Privacy Policy

Last updated October 15, 2026

ShipSniffer is operated by Jake Cyr. This policy explains what we collect when you use ShipSniffer and what we do with it.

What we collect

Uploaded and linked code

Uploaded .zip files and downloaded repository archives are extracted to a temporary folder, scanned, and deleted as soon as the scan finishes. We don't keep copies of your source code.

How long we keep things

Scan reports are stored in our database (Upstash Redis, via Vercel) for about 30 days and then deleted automatically. Rate-limit counters expire within minutes to a day. Payment records are kept by Stripe as required for accounting.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details and email under its own privacy policy. We receive the payment status, amount, and your email address.

Service providers

We use Vercel (hosting), Upstash (database), Stripe (payments), and an email delivery provider (to send report links). They process data only to provide their service to us.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, we don't use your code to train models, and we don't use advertising trackers.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete a report or any data tied to your email before the 30 days are up by writing to shipsniffer@mail.grokbot.com with the report link.
